They are the connection with the soul.
They carry the energy within outward
And in many languages and tongues
Words, Words. Words!
It’s all we have, we sing and pray with words
We emplore with words
We nurish and destroy with them
Words, Words. Words!
Can we mean them when we say them?
Do they change from mouth to ear?
Are we destined to retain them?
Or do we listen but do not hear?
Words, Words. Words!
More than the sands of time.
Countless expressions;
Directives and Questions;
And not always the same as mine.
