EULOGY FOR BRANDY
My Dearest Friend and Soul Mate,
I want to say how much I share your feelings over the loss of your special friend Brandy. She made me smile whenever I heard you mention her name, and I was moved today when you told me of the difficult decision you had to make to end her pain and discomfort.
Brandy came to love you Drue out of your gentle loving nature that brought out from within her the message she was sent to deliver. She would greet you with unconditional love, and she would show her feelings to you always. These things were her way of reminding you what love is, and how much it meant to her. The lessons Brandy taught you will stay with you for the rest of your life. But the final lesson is yet to be told.
It hurt you to do what needed to be done, because it seems too cruel to treat some one so deserving of love in that way. But take heart dear Drue, Brandy did not look at you with eyes of good bye but with comfort that in her final message to you, she was sure you had learned well the lessons of love she was put here to teach. With that accomplished, and with you on her mind, she was able to place her head between her paws, close her eyes and sleep in peace and comfort.
I am so proud of you Drue, for dealing with one of life’s cruelest moments in a way that is in keeping with all the beauty you possess. I pray that you won’t be hardened by this act of benevolence for Brandy, but that you will receive strength from it.
Some day, you will draw on this final act for Brandy to convey to a little girl – your daughter, the meaning of life. And when you do, Brandy will be reborn in her truest sense and meaning and the final lesson will be told – unconditional love. If only we superior beings could learn that lesson sent by the Lord from all his messengers.
Tomorrow I will receive Communion for you and your family in thanking God for sending his messenger Brandy to teach you a part of what love is – for I see that love in you every day that I know you, since the first time we met.
Be at peace Drue, Brandy is where she belongs now – in your heart and in your soul.
