2001-01-07 - 23:10:09 YOUR DIARY IS YOU...
I'm so thankful that you have your diary. It allows me to come by and gaze at you when you're not here. I see within the lines and the passages small wondrous glimmers of you, and the woman you are becoming...
Come read my diary to night t see what else you have given me... I see the smile of confidence growing more broadly as you accomplish more of what you put your energies to. There before you lies yet another challenge for which you have aptly prepared yourself. Still, you look at it with some trepidation, and worry if this might be the moment when you will fail yourself. I say, look straight into its eyes and stare it down; know yourself for your strengths, and your weakness will never overtake you. I read your diary and see deeply into your heart… the loneliness that chills it, and the love that keeps it warm… I touch you in your writings. I feel your every emotion. I smell the mood you are in, and the world from which you yearn to escape. I taste you between your lines and among the folds of every thought… Our lips meet when our eyes read each other’s thoughts, and our hearts beat as one as we absorb the intensity with which we portray our mind’s creations. Yes, it is true that your diary is a living person. She smiles and cries as a child might. She opens her arms and embraces the world for which she cares so intimately. She sees herself as only she can dare to open her eyes to it. Her hands moving down her sides, coming to rest in her lap. She sits patiently waiting the day the hour the moment she is free to release her captive soul. I see her in ways she has yet to imagine for her self, and I pray that I may guide her forward toward her destiny… whatever she may choose it to be. That on some distant day a reader my come passed these lines and write for me in this space the person you have become… I leave this space for that person: ______________________. Pray honestly for your happiness above all. And so I visit often to be with you, and sit quietly along side as she nurses the infant in her arms. The infant thoughts that grow within her and encourage her maternal instincts to care for all she loves… May God bless you for your love and caring and for the tender moments unending. I love your diary and I love you for being you and for writing so beautifully the parts of you that you share with me. LB
